This half term is all about healthy living. The children will be firstly leanring about the new year that we are now in and learning the numbers.
Then we will be looking at the importance of brushing our teeth and learning new words such as 'cavity'.
We will be talking about our morning routines, making our own fruit salads, and celebrating Chinese New Year.
Offering the children a variety of materials to cut, stick and join will allow them to use their own ideas. This will encourage imagination and creativity.
When the children are creating their own art or completing a craft, they will enjoy achiving what they set out to do. This will aslo develop their concentration skills and give them a sense of pride and achievment.
This half term we are learning all about animals and their enivronments as well as different celebration such as Mother's Day, St Patrick's Day, Holi, St David's day and Easter.
The children will be able to learn about all of these in a varity of ways, books, songs, videos and stories. The children will be encouraged to talk about their experiences with their friends and any ideas and feelings they may have. The children that celebrate any of these festivals are more than welcome to bring in something to talk about for show and tell.
