This terms topic is called "Back to school, all about me"

The children will be learning about their at their pre-school sand the shape of the building, the new friends they have made, differences between themselves and their friends, who is in their families and their experiences. We are learning about equality and friendship.

This half term we are looking at celebrations and fesitvals.

We are firstly going to learn about bonfire night and who guy fawks was. We will learn our shapes, colours and numbers by making a fire work.

The children will then learn about Rememberance Day and why we make poppies. We will learn about it in a vary of ways such as songs, books and videos.

We will be making our own Autumn leaf hedghogs looking at the different colours of the seasons.

We will also be learning about Diwali, what it is and who celebrates it. The children will be making their very own Diwali candle using different coloured tissue paper and paper plates aswell as watching videos to gain a better understanding.

We will then be leading up to Christmas, with lots of fun acitivies and crafts such as Christmas cards, tree decorations preparing for it as well as our Nativity play we are practising for.

And finally we will be learning about Hannukah. We will be making a picture, learning about it looking at the book as well as videos.

Any parents of the religions we will be celebrating are more than welcome to bring anything in they would like to share.
